Our Story
Hi, we're Kate and David.
The two people behind AK Production Sydney, and the ones who will be capturing your wedding day.
Our story began long before we ever picked up a camera. We've been together since we were just 15 years old, growing up side by side in a small country in Central Europe called the Czech Republic. After finishing our studies, we made one of the biggest decisions of our lives and moved across the world to Australia.
Like many people starting a new chapter, we arrived with big dreams and very little certainty. We worked different jobs, adapted to a new culture, learned a new language, and slowly built a life for ourselves in Sydney.
A few years later, we set off on an eight-month van trip around Australia. Along the way, we filmed everything we could. The incredible landscapes, the people we met, and the countless moments that made the journey unforgettable. What started as a way to document our adventure quickly became a passion.
When we returned to Sydney, we knew we couldn't leave filmmaking behind. That's when AK Production Sydney was born.
In the beginning, we filmed everything from commercials, sports, cars, and real estate to weddings. But it didn't take long for us to realise that weddings were different. There was something special about being trusted to capture one of the most meaningful days in a couple's life.
The more weddings we filmed, the more we fell in love with the process. The emotions, the families, the laughter, the happy tears, and the unique story behind every couple. It never felt like work. It felt like exactly what we were meant to do.
Today, after years of experience and countless weddings, our passion for telling love stories is stronger than ever. Love has shaped both our personal lives and our professional journey. It's the reason we've been together for so many years, and it's the reason we continue to do what we do every weekend.
To us, every wedding is a real-life fairytale, and our goal is to create a film that allows you to relive yours for years to come.
